Objective
We hope that this website evolves into a useful resource for pilots interested in preserving access into the parks and wilderness areas through focused advocacy. A key element, therefore, is to encourage fellow aviators to be informed and to participate in this effort. It is only through active participation on many levels that we can work together to maintain reasonable levels of access to our wilderness areas.
You can help by actively engaging with your elected representatives, Parks officials, and the general public, to foster an appreciation of the historical importance of floatplanes in this Country, as well as a recognition that we have an important role to play in maintaining freedom of access, and an equally important role in the stewardship and safeguarding of this important and precious resource.
We share these sentiments with dedicated men and women in the Parks Branch and Fish and Wildlife as well as others in the wider community of outdoor enthusiasts, who are as committed as we are in ensuring that the resources we enjoy today can be shared with equal opportunity by future generations. It is with these same dedicated individuals that we endeavor to work together to resolve present and future conflicts in this arena with renewed enthusiasm and optimism.
We hope to post new developments on these issues in the Forum/advocacy section as they arise.
